Last mock patient day

Today was the last mock patient day. It was awesome today I just got to lay back and relax. Ashley did such a great job, nothing hurt. It was so hot in clinic today though I could barely stand it, and I am never hot. I hope it is not like that when I have a regular patient. I am going to be sweating from the stress. I don't need it from the heat too. Next clinic is our first real patient day. I am so nervous. AHHH! At least it is my hubby I get to torture. Poor guy. Oh well, he will still love me when it is over with. At least I hope so. : )

Second mock patient day

So I am so slow. I was the last one done scaling and I gave Ashley a shower a couple times. My air water syringe gets stuck down and just sprays all over. Ahh! No to mention the fact that I am so slow and I only got two quads. done. Oh well maybe one day I can be ok at this. I think we are sleeping at our new house for the first time tonight. So that makes it a great day. I love my new house. It was worth all the stress. The most exciting thing for me is putting all my new tupperware, dishes, and all that away. Not to metion being able to use them for the first time. It is awesome.

P.E. frenze

We had to pass off four P.E.'s today. What pressure! It went well though. We only have one more P.E. to pass off and we are done with the semester. It is getting so close. I am so near being a quarter of the way done with my hygiene program. Yeah, I can hardly wait. It will be so great the day I can look back and say I am a few days away from being completely done. On a personal note we have started moving stuff up to our house. It is so exciting we are almost in.

Air powder punisher

Air powder polisher, can I just say that thing is brutal. I ended up with water and salt everywhere. Every time it hit your lips your tongue or anything it really stung. Today went really well though. I feel really confident doing sealants. Which is good cause it is about the only thing I feel confident about doing. I did not want to come back to school today. We had a fabulous weekend at the sand dunes and I just wanted to stay forever. I guess all good things come to an end. I just wish it was not so soon. The good news is we are moving in our house this week, finally. I can't wait it turned out awesome.

From patient to operator

On monday I showed up and found out that all I had to do was lay back, relax, and let Alyse do all the work. It was so nice. No pressure at all. She did such a great job and was so soft. Today it was my turn to put the hurt on Alyse. Good thing she is a good sport with all the poking and proding I did. I spent most of my time trying to scale off some cement that was left from removing her lingual bar. I am so glad we got a practice day. It really helps. We are so close to seeing reall patients it is scary. Ahhhh!
