Last Clinic is over!!!!

Yea!!!! Today was the last day I cleaned a patients teeth as a student!!! Now it is off to the real world! No more scale checks and health histories that resemble a bible, but that also means no 3 hour appointments! I hope I can keep up! I am just so excited I got a job working one day a week with Dr. Collman! I can hardly wait! I wish it did not take till may to get my license!

1 more clinic day left!!

It is coming to quick it is almost over!! I am almost done with school it seems unreal. I don't know what I am going to do with myself if I don't have studying to do! I also just got a job work with Dr. Collman, who I have worked with for years. I am so excited because I have loved working there. It is only one day a week, but that is better than nothing. I will keep looking for more days too. YEAAAAA!!! I can't wait.

Say good bye to threes and fours!!

So today I finish all my class three and four requirements!!!!! Oh ya it feels so good!!! Now I just have a couple PE's and some kids and I am done with all my hygiene requirements! I have passed my first three board too! Just waiting to hear about the last one! It is coming to an end so quickly. I can't wait till I am lounging on a beach in Hawaii!!!! Ahhhhhh!!! I can just imagine it, but then I look outside and it is snowing again!!!! Oh well more work for the hubby with all the snow!

One more board

So, I have my last board tomorrow!!! Yeah!!! I can't wait to be done. I passed the first two!!! Still waiting to hear about the third, cross your fingers! All this waiting is making me crazy! Oh well I guess I will keep dreaming about Freddy's teeth till I hear if I passed. I had a dream that I passed the other night and that I got a 99%! Let just say I had a rude awakening! Well I will just focus on the seven hour test for tomorrow and stop stressing about the other!

Sliwinski saved me!!

Sliwinski really worked with me on my exploring this week and it really helped me on my mock board. I feel so much more confident now!!! She even had me hand scale two quads of a class four, and even though it took me forever without the ultra sonic it really improved my calculus detection skills. I will be forever thankful to her.

Last Mock Board!!

On my last mock board I saw my actual board patient and I cleaned one of his quads. I was really worried when he told me he had to leave early. I did not think I would every get him cleaned in time and we were being graded on it! I had only an hour instead of the two hours I was supposed to get. The time went by so fast!!! I still felt one piece of calculus, but I had no more time. I sent my patient up to be checked. When he came back I feared the worst, but I only missed the one little spot I had already felt and just one more little burnished piece. After this I felt pretty good about clinic boards because I knew if I had more time I could have got the rest. Only a few more weeks and I will be done with my boards! Crazy!!! It has all gone so fast!

Class II's and V's

Class II's and V's are the story of my life!!! That is all I get and I have requirements for all sorts of III's and IV's and I never see any!!! What am I supposed to do I have seen pts. that have not been in for ten years and they still are not enough!! No board patient either and everyone around me is getting everything them. Maybe I am just not supposed to graduate!!! Thousands of dollars I have paid for school, and million of hoops I have had to jump through, and it is out of my control whether I graduate!!!!!!! ARRRRGGGGGG!!!! I am not happy!
